Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from July 10 to July 16, 2023.

Judge McKay also sentenced Pilon to a concurrent 8- to 10-year prison term for felony property destruction. The judge ordered Pilon to reimburse Koch Construction owner Aaron Koch for $130,925.80 toward his costs to replace the 2016 T880 Kenworth, valued at $125,000; the log trailer at $58,343.69, a lift axle for almost $8,000, 600 hours of truck refitting at $21,000 and estimated cleaning and towing at $8,775.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 269 calls and incidents from July 3 to July 9, including nine crashes, three assaults, 16 citizen assists, four fires, a runaway juvenile, seven animal problems, four medical emergences, three search and rescues, 15 suspicious incidents, two vandalisms, seven motorist assists, 12 traffic complaints, 39 urinalyses, one water rescue and 53 vehicle identification number inspections.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from July 3 to July 9, 2023.

First on June 3, a man driving 102 mph was pulled over and he and his female passenger arrested and jailed after a search yielded a plastic bag with a felony amount of meth. Then the man called a Colorado friend from jail to come get his car and find a stash of meth hidden in his vehicle that a trooper didn’t find the first time around. Now three people are charged in connection with what started out as a traffic stop, according to court records.

On May 28 at the Marbleton Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Todd Morgan responded to a complaint by Steven Hall that his neighbor, Robert J. Sorensen, had shot his dog, according to the affidavit.

A Missouri woman is charged with two felonies of injuring deputies while resisting arrest June 20 after a traffic stop near the Daniel Junction.

The day arrived for Jay E. Van Wagoner, 34, of Casper, to learn what his sentence would be after making a plea deal to drop two of four felony cocaine charges filed against him in 2021.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from June 26 to July 2, 2023.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 208 calls from June 26 to July 2, including a suicidal person, fives crashes, one search and rescue, 10 livestock problems, 21 citizen assists, four medical emergencies, two fires, 17 suspicious incidents, two strokes, 29 urinalyses and 41 vehicle identification number inspections. The SCSO was open Monday and closed Tuesday for July Fourth.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from June 19 to June 25, 2023.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 198 calls and incidents from June 19 to June 25, including one drone flight, a suicidal person, an animal attack, 10 livestock problems, eight citizen assists, a theft, one search and rescue, six medical emergencies, six REDDI reports, three welfare checks, 32 urinalyses and 40 vehicle identification number inspections.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from June 12 to June 18, 2023.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 205 calls from June 12 to June 18, including a death, a suicidal person, an outside tank fire, eight medical emergencies, 19 citizen assists, a domestic dispute, a structure fire, a suspicious package, 14 suspicious circumstances, nine livestock problems, three animal problems, two vandalisms, 39 vehicle number inspections and 31 urinalyses.

Whitman pleaded not guilty to the single charge and waived his right to a speedy trial, which Judge McKay rescheduled for July 17 after Whitman fired his original attorney, Rives White, and hired McCarthy.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from June 5 to June 11, 2023.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 207 calls from June 5 to June 11, including 11 crashes, a death, 19 citizen assists, a missing person, one structure fire, five welfare checks, 12 livestock problems, a structure collapse, three thefts, a search and rescue, vandalism, 23 urinalyses and 30 vehicle identification number inspections.

He was cited for “driving under the influence of combined alcohol and controlled substance,” and is scheduled for an arraignment in Sublette County Circuit Court on July 13.

William B. Sciolino is charged with a felony of unlawful entry into an occupied structure to commit domestic battery. He is also charged with misdemeanors of domestic battery, second offense, criminal entry, criminal trespass and interference with a peace officer, records show.
