The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 157 calls from March 13 to March 19, including a sex offense, five animal problems, 12 wildlife issues, 14 citizen assists, 11 suspicious incidents, five welfare checks, 28 urinalyses and 22 vehicle identification number inspections.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from March 13 to March 19, 2023.

The battle between Gloria DeNava, mother of Nicholas A. Leyva, and his estranged husband, Dr. Steven Buck Wallace, is reaching back and forth between Sublette County Circuit Court and the higher 9th District Court.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from March 6 to March 12, 2023.

Public defender Rachel Weksler requested the hearing to call Sublette County deputies Danielle Cooper and Krystal Mansur to testify about their search of Moceika’s home after finding an unlatched door, records show. Weksler claimed that their search was illegal and evidence obtained should be suppressed.

Cung Nang Sang, a permanent resident, will appear Sublette County Circuit Court for his arraignment on two sexual battery charges and two misdemeanors of providing alcohol to a minor and providing tobacco to a minor.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 143 calls from March 6 to March 12, including a death, nine 911 hangups, 11 suspicious incidents, 10 wildlife calls, 10 citizen assists, 24 urinalyses, 16 vehicle identification number inspections and five welfare checks.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from Feb. 27 to March 5, 2023.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 171 calls from Feb. 27 through March 5, including a death, at least five crashes, 11 citizen assists, a suicidal person, one fire, 13 motorist assists, six suspicious incidents, four animal problems, a search-and-rescue, 31 urinalyses and 24 vehicle identification number inspections.

“In jail I can sleep all day, spend hours playing cards, ping pong and basketball and almost infinite time for my favorite hobby reading,” he said. “It seems incredibly unfair that I get to relax and hang out for a year without any real suffering or purpose.”

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 108 calls from Feb.13 to Feb. 19, including 11 crashes, a suicidal person, 22 citizen assists, two fires, a theft, three animal problems, 26 vehicle identification number inspections and 34 urinalyses. The SCSO was closed Monday, Feb. 20, for President’s Day.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 166 calls from Jan. 30 to Feb. 5, including a vehicle theft, five animal problems, three juvenile problems, 12 suspicious incidents, one fire, 13 citizen assists, a fuel spill, five traffic complaints, four welfare checks, 32 urinalyses and 14 vehicle identification number inspections.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 158 calls from Jan. 23 to Jan. 29, including eight crashes, 10 motorist assists, two thefts, a runaway juvenile, nine suspicious incidents, a diabetic coma, 15 citizen assists, one polluting event, four medical emergencies, 23 urinalyses and 19 vehicle identification number inspections.

Several new charges were filed and sentences imposed in Sublette County Circuit Court from Jan. 16 through Jan. 22, 2023.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 153 calls from Jan. 16 to Jan. 22, including six crashes, two deaths, a sex offense, eight citizen assists, an explosion, eight motorist assists, six suspicious incidents, a disturbance, a fire, 23 urinalyses and 23 vehicle identification number inspections.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 165 calls from Jan. 9 to Jan. 15, including eight crashes, 23 citizen assists, two fires, 17 motorist assists, 10 suspicious incidents, an unauthorized absence, four welfare checks, 28 urinalyses and 16 vehicle identification number inspections.
