CASPER – An array of Sublette County ranchers are among the nearly two dozen inductees for the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame’s (WCHF) Class of 2024.

Representing Region 10 and three Sublette County communities are legacy ranchers Kevin W. Campbell of Bondurant, John C. Budd of Big Piney, Steven C. James of Daniel and Gary Lozier of Big Piney.

Neighboring Teton County rancher Norman Resin “Bill” Tanner of Jackson will also be inducted into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame this year.

The 11th Annual Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place at the Ramkota Hotel in Casper Oct. 11-12. It is open to the public.

Regional committees in ten different areas of the Cowboy State researched and scored over 50 nominations and sent the top picks to the WCHF State Board of Directors. The WCHF Board, comprised of one member from each of the state’s ten regions, also selected several nominees. The WCHF Board then voted on the nominees during its annual meeting on April 27.

Formed for historical, cultural, literary and educational purposes, WCHF’s chief goal is To preserve, promote, perpetuate, publish and document Wyomings working cowboy and ranching history through researching, profiling and honoring individuals who broke the first trails and introduced the cowboy culture to this state. WCHF plans to collect, display and preserve the stories, photos and artifacts of such individuals and anything else that will honor and highlight their contributions to our history.”
