Third-grade students at Pinedale Elementary School celebrated Arbor Day on a droopy Thursday morning by planting trees at the new Dudley Key Sports Complex.

The academic year is drawing to a close and the Sublette County School District No. 1 Board of Trustees took time out of a busy agenda to honor the April Students of the Month at its May 12 meeting.

Multiple veterans groups in Pinedale are consolidating resources for Memorial Day ceremonies this year.

A golden addition to the Board of Sublette County Commissioners’ chambers flanked the panel of four out of five commissioners during Tuesday’s meeting.

The Sublette County Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 will conduct a special board meeting on Thursday, May 19, at 217 Country Club Lane in Pinedale. The special meeting is called to elect positions on the district’s board of directors.

Voices echoed throughout cement-laden fairgrounds event center as Rich Strike started his charge on the far turn. Like most watching this year’s Kentucky Derby across the country and beyond, none drew their attention to the longshot near the back of the pack.

A kaleidoscope of ceramics, digital art, mixed media, acrylics, oil paintings and watercolors produced by Pinedale High School artists greeted guests at the After/State exhibit at Mystery Print Gallery on May 5.

With Wyoming Game and Fish’s proposed wolf and mountain lion hunting seasons and quotas out for comment, a public meeting is set for Monday, May 16, 6 p.m. at the Pinedale Regional Office.
