SHERIDAN – The Pinedale Glaciers’ 19U girls’ team captured second place at the 2024 Wyoming State Hockey Tournament hosted by the Wyoming Amateur Hockey Association on Feb. 9-11.
The Glaciers competed in the “A” Division and kicked off the tournament with victories against both Cody and Jackson. The back-to-back wins secured the No. 1 seed for Pinedale in the “A” Division championship game on Sunday, Feb. 11.
The first period of the championship game between Pinedale and Sheridan came down to the wire with a 1-1 tie at the end of the second period. Sheridan ultimately scored two goals in the third period to prevail, 3-1.
“The Pinedale girls skated their hearts out this season and we are so proud of them,” said team manager Mindy Seehafer.
Pinedale Glaciers’ forward Anabella Fausett snagged All-State honors from the Wyoming Amateur Hockey Association at the conclusion of the tournament.
Five members of the Glaciers’ 19U team received All-State nominations – Cassy Miller, Seren Noble, Erica Seehafer, Beth Loveless and Aringtyn Huffman.
