The civil challenge for judicial review of the Dec. 7, 2021, “agency decision” was filed May 16 in 9th District Court and assigned to Judge Melissa Owens in Teton County. She set aside two hours for oral arguments on Aug. 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jackson courtroom “for judicial economy,” her order says. It was originally set for Aug. 8.

The Sage and Snow Garden Club will host its annual Garden Tour and Dinner on Saturday, Aug. 6, featuring three local gardens. The tour will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the first stop and will end with dinner at the third stop of the tour.

The Recruit Academy also included two cadets, individuals who completed the requirements but are not 18 years old. The 2022 cadets are Leo Labrador and Sean Ruckman, both in Battalion No. 1. Cadets who completed most of the requirements were Eli Crumley, Liam Cunningham, Jordan Peterson and Stanley Souza.

The trustees’ decision to place Makelky on “paid administrative leave ... was not done in response to any internal investigation or allegation of serious misconduct,” Ziegler emphasized.
