Sublette artists featured in Rock Springs

WYOMING – The Community Fine Arts Center in Rock Springs is exhibiting artwork of 13 artists across Wyoming, including some from Sublette County.

The public is invited to an opening reception on Saturday, June 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. The exhibit will be open until July 14.

Artists involved include Ruth Rawhouser, Les Burrough, Debbie Despain, Jody Gilmore, Laurie LaMere, Charmain McLellan, Kay Meeks, Madeleine Murdock, Bonnie Nelson, Susan Nessan, Dee Parker and Cynde Wilson.

The informal group of artists, known as Mixed Media, has shown their work in Big Piney and Pinedale for decades. The traveling exhibit has also included stops in LaBarge, Kemmerer, Green River and Rock Springs.

Active members have even initiated, directed, organized and participated in the Lynn Thomas Art Show at the Sublette County Fair since 2014.
