On Jan. 11, Timothy Scott Heil passed away peacefully in his sleep while at his winter home in Manzanillo, Mexico, with his wife. He was 67 years old. Tim was born in Longmont, Colo., on Sept. 27, 1956, to Harold and Dorothy Heil. He grew up on the family farm in Weld County, Colo., with his two brothers, Gordon and Bret, and his uncle Dave. He moved to LaBarge with his family in 1990. There he worked in the oilfield for various companies until he retired as a consultant for completion wells in 2018.

Tim was married for 43 years to the love of his life, Alexandra Heil, and had two children, Daniel Scott Heil and Chelsea Alexandra Heil, who were his whole world. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother and father, two brothers and uncle.

He was a man of great character and a pillar of strength for his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and spent many days fishing and hunting all over the western states. Tim was lucky in most everything he did. He was born with a lucky streak that never ended, even in death.

He complemented his luck with hard work, perseverance and proactivity. He had so many skills and talents that it seemed there wasnt anything he couldnt do. He had a tender heart and would go out of his way to help people that needed it.

His humor was equally as impressive as his list of skills and talents. His laughter was the thing most people will remember him by, and that twinkle in his eye. He was sharp and witty, and almost always knew the right thing to say, unless it went horribly wrong. He delighted in saying the wrong things, too.

He was honest, humble and hardworking. His death was sudden and free of suffering. He was loved immensely, will be missed dearly and never forgotten. The legend of Tim Heil will live on forever.
