Glenn E. Allen, 97, of Pinedale, Wyo., passed away on March 28, at St. John’s Hospital in Jackson, Wyo. Glenn was born on Sept. 12, 1926, in La Crosse, Kansas to James M. and Faye E. (Robinson) Allen. He completed his formal education in La Crosse and graduated from La Crosse High School. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and after the war he took mining classes at the University of Boulder.
He married Mary Jane Pealer in 1949 in Boulder, Colo., and they had three children together Deborah, Steven and Barbara. They were later divorced in 1965. Glenn worked for Allied Chemical Company for 31 years in both Boulder, Colo., and Rio Verde Mexico. He married Josefina Martinez in Rio Verde, SLP, Mexico, in 1979. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his wife Josie, and fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and gardening.
Glenn is survived by his wife Josefina Allen; daughter Barbara Allen; granddaughters Stacy Morgan and Christina Eastin and great-grandchild Caeden Eastin; seven sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Steven Allen, daughter Deborah Morgan and his siblings James J., Virginia, Lucille and Eunice.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 13, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Pinedale. Interment and graveside military honors will follow mass at the Pinedale Cemetery. Family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church building fund.
