Gale Edward Roberts, 63, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, in Boulder, Wyo. He was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and beloved community member known for his generosity and spontaneous spirit.

Gale called Wyoming’s towering mountains, flowing rivers and beautiful open country home for his entire life. He was born in Worland, Wyo., to EvaLee Stiles and Bill Roberts. He grew up in Baggs, Wyo. He graduated from Natrona County High School and attended college at the University of Wyoming.
On June 23, 1984, Gale married the love of his life, Mary Maureen “Mo” Doherty, in Casper, Wyo. They had three beautiful daughters, whom they raised in Jackson. Gale was a fierce advocate and loving caregiver to his daughter, Sydney. Nothing gave him more pride than watching his girls, Kim and Kelsey, grow into compassionate young women. Being self-motivated and creative, Gale built a career as an entrepreneur and inventor who found purpose in giving back to his community.
As a free-spirited adventurer who strayed from the rules, Gale found important meaning in helping others. He was an impassioned advocate for people with different abilities, promoting inclusion, access to resources and funding and overall quality of life. He would give the shirt off his back if it would help someone in need. His genuine interest in people often led to grand, big-hearted gestures. Being an outdoorsman, he would help travelers explore the wild terrain he called home. His family would say he never knew a stranger.
Gale is survived by his wife Mo Roberts, their children Kim (Dylan) Bjorkman, Sydney Roberts, and Kelsey Roberts, his granddaughter Juniper Bjorkman, his brothers Tom (Emily) Roberts, Wes (Pam) Roberts, Gary (Christine) Roberts, his sister Mary (Mike) Leuzinger as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
