PINEDALE — Are you or a loved one living with a chronic health condition? Looking for strategies to better manage your health? Sublette County Public Health is here to help with its upcoming series of Healthy U workshops.

Starting March 4, Public Health will host a free 6-week Healthy U program at the Rendezvous Pointe Senior Center, 425 West Magnolia Street in Pinedale. This evidence-based workshop is open to adults with chronic conditions, caregivers and anyone seeking knowledge about managing their health. Throughout six weekly meetings, held each Monday from 9-11:30 a.m., participants will learn techniques to deal with common challenges like frustration, fatigue and isolation. The workshop will guide participants through appropriate exercise, medication use, nutrition and how to communicate effectively with health care providers and loved ones.

Participants will also be able to practice decision-making and action planning related to their health.

Stanford University developed the Healthy U curriculum to empower those with chronic conditions to take charge of their health. Sublette County Public Health is excited to make this valuable program accessible to local community members.

Spaces are limited for the six-week workshop, so interested participants are encouraged to register soon by calling Public Health at 307-367-2157.
