Tanner Butner’s grandparents Gene and Betty Lou Pearson, seated in front, help celebrate his first-place ride and buckle honors in the PRCA’s National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas. In the second go-round, Butner, fourth from the left, won with 87 points on Calgary Stampede’s Exotic Warrior. In the fourth go, Tanner took second with 88 points on Foul Motion and as of press time Wednesday noon, he was preparing for the sixth go with his entire family in the stands and hundreds of friends cheering him on.
