SUBLETTE COUNTY – It was a very good turnout of bakers, artists, craftspeople, entrepreneurs and gift makers – at Saturday’s Big Piney Holiday Bazaar at the Big Piney Rec Center.

And the crowds of people that came through consistently walked around with shopping bags and smiles, visiting with old friends before the long winter kicks in. The annual event is welcoming and warm, and everyone smiles while they’re there, watching what draws their friends and families’ eyes. Even Santa visited to greet shoppers and buy his Christmas tree permit!

There are plenty more local shopping opportunities for those needing to fill their gift lists.

On Friday, Dec. 1, the Museum of the Mountain Man’s Annual Wreath & Chocolate Auction starts with Voices 8 from 6-7 p.m. in the Pinedale Library Lovatt Room. Dinner, live and silent auctions for handcrafted wreaths and chocolate treats!

Saturday, Dec. 2, is a big day across the county. The South County Market will take place at the Big Piney Library, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and in Pinedale, visit the Christmas Shopping Bazaar hosted by Summit Building businesses from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Also, Main Street Pinedale presents the Holiday High Altitude Market, 2-6 p.m. in the Pinedale Library’s Lovatt Room. More High Altitude Markets are set for Dec. 8 and 15.

On Sunday, Dec. 3, to the north, the Bondurant Art and Ag Market with vendors, hot chocolate, raffles, door prizes and a community cookie exchange will be at the Bondurant Fire Station, 1-4 p.m.
