A Christmas Gala!

Posted

PINEDALE – Pinedale High School band and choir students entertained and impressed families, friends in a full house with their special Christmas concert on Dec. 5. This year the bands and choirs alternated taking the stage at the Sheppard Auditorium with smooth timing switching from bleachers and piano to chairs and music stands.

The evening began with teacher Greg Allen, donning a green vest and top hat, introducing Choir I, then soloist Kyle Donaldson. Teacher Justin Smith next conducted the Jazz Band and Allen, the Jazz Choir. Another duo solo spotlight from Travis Donaldson and Rebee Frankus; then the Percussion Ensemble. Choir II, with just male voices singing the solemn “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening,” closing with the PHS Concert Band.

The grand finale brought the combined choirs and the concert band back to the stage – with special guests from the Sublette Community Band – to perform lively selections from “The Polar Express.”
