There is work to be done in all backyards

I would suggest that these same people take a good and honest look around themselves before directing their self-righteous indignation towards Wyoming and its communities and residents. If you put that energy to work locally, you could probably do a lot to clean up your own backyards.  And likewise, our small community has to realize that there’s work to be done right here at home.

To paraphrase a man much smarter than me. “Let he that is without sin cast the first stone”.

There is work to be done in all backyards

Dear Editor,

Wow… Its interesting to see how many perfect folks there are across the country. Until this wolf controversy, I had only known of one. Now I read comments from people not only wanting to destroy Cody Roberts but also his family, his wife, his children and anyone or anything that can be affiliated with him. They, with almost no knowledge, would break a longstanding iconic business, vilify an entire community and county, and even go so far as to degrade the entire state of Wyoming. You would think that nothing bad ever happened in their communities.

It interests and concerns me that these same folks can get up in the morning and watch their local and state news report on police officers shot in the line of duty leaving young wives and babies, toddlers killed while riding down the street in their car seats, elderly neighbors being bashed, maimed and killed for the contents of their pockets and purses, children kidnapped and sold into sexual slavery.  The list goes on and on right in their proverbial backyards, yet they are willing to ignore the immense pain and human suffering that takes place around them on a daily basis and direct their anger at a horrific, but isolated event that happened hundreds of miles away.
