The proposal would create a single entity to oversee Fremont Lake’s resources, replacing the “loose group” affiliated under the Fremont Lake User’s Group that currently administers the water, Murdock explained. A single reservoir company would also establish a more efficient framework to supervise and allocate water, he added.

Just over one year ago, Judge Tyler sentenced Jewkes to 15 to 20 years in prison and she was transported to the Wyoming Women’s Center in Lusk. He cited numerous factors for choosing that sentence, including “community expectations.” Jewkes’ attorneys John LaBuda and John Robinson appealed that element to the Wyoming Supreme Court, which ruled last month her sentence would be vacated and remanded to 9th District Court for a new sentencing hearing.

The January petition, filed to remand Sublette Board of County Commissioners’ majority approval of billionaire owner Joe Ricketts’ request for a destination resort on Upper Hoback Road, was initially filed in 9th District Court’s Pinedale office for Judge Marv Tyler. Judge Tyler assigned the case to new 9th District Court Judge Melissa Owens in Jackson, who scheduled oral arguments based on all three parties’ legal briefs in Jackson for Aug. 8. Parties then asked Judge Owens to delay it until Aug. 25, which she did.

Ridley’s Family Market in Pinedale is hosting a benefit raffle and barbecue Thursday and Friday, Sept. 1-2, the proceeds of which will be donated to Zylker’s family.

Since Wednesday, TTSAR Captain and volunteer John Linn and his crew have covered an area of approximately 1,800 by 2,500 feet.

The event is on Friday, Sept. 23, from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Pinedale Library Lovatt Room at 155 S. Tyler Ave.

The new leaders include Norm Cox, director of special services, Heather Ryan, Pinedale Elementary School principal, Kellie Jo Williams, Skyline Academy principal and Pinedale Middle School assistant principal-activities director, and Kimberly Wyman, PES assistant principal.

The public is invited to attend a special workshop hosted by the Town of Pinedale on Monday, Aug. 29, to participate in the development of the town’s Transportation Master Plan and Pedestrian Safety Plan. A bike ride and walk with members of the town council and town staff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to explore mobility and transportation-related issues across town. A two-hour workshop will follow in the Pinedale Library Lovatt Room from 6-8 p.m. The town’s Transportation Master Plan and Pedestrian Safety Plan will identify near-term and long-term solutions to enhance safety, accessibility, connectivity, resiliency and livability in Pinedale. Thursday, Tip Top Search and Rescue volunteers continued to search for Richard “Rick” DeRuiter Zylker, 52, who was celebrating with the Ridley’s Family Market group. At some point people realized he disappeared from the surface, in Moosehead Bay, one of the farthest inlets to Fremont Lake, according to Sublette County Sheriff KC Lehr.

The two-day event, sponsored by the Pinedale Lions Club and hosted by Lakeside Lodge, featured three races on Saturday and two the following day, said event organizer Jason Essington.

On Aug. 9, Nancy Ann Gerwatowski, 58, appeared before a Michigan judge, who determined enough evidence exists to go to trial.

Seventeen-year-old Andy Jones, a senior at Pinedale High School, waited by his Aviat Husky for the air boss advisors to give the all clear for practice to resume again. Jones was the youngest pilot competing at the debut Rocky Mountain STOL Competition, hosted by Emblem Aviation and the Town of Pinedale.
