The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 134 calls from Dec. 11 to Dec. 17, including three vehicle crashes, seven wildlife calls, seven citizen assists, five suspicious incidents, two people threatened, two noisy animals, one suicidal person, seven animal problems, 36 urinalyses and 20 vehicle identification number inspections.

Sheriff's report Dec. 11 to Dec. 17, 2023

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 134 calls from Dec. 11 to Dec. 17, including three vehicle crashes, seven wildlife calls, seven citizen assists, five suspicious incidents, two people threatened, two noisy animals, one suicidal person, seven animal problems, 36 urinalyses and 20 vehicle identification number inspections.

Dec. 11

At 7:06 a.m., a pit bull was locked in a playground area.

At 7:19 a.m., three horses were traveling the highway.

At 7:47 a.m., a dead deer was a traffic hazard.

At 8:56 a.m., a hay hauler slid off the road into a fence the day before and wanted to come back and fix the fence.

At 11:01 a.m., a red heeler and a border collie were on the highway eating a dead deer.

At 1:13 p.m., a person had an allergic reaction to walnuts.

At 3:08 p.m., a state employee asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 6:18 p.m., a runner’s phone accidentally called 911.

At 10:07 p.m., four dogs kept barking even though the caller yelled at them to stop.

Dec. 12

At 9:05 a.m., a moose calf was separated from its mother by the highway.

At 2:33 p.m., a neighbor’s dogs barked day and night for several months.

At 3:54 p.m., an incident is under investigation.

At 5:10 p.m., a suspicious woman in black wearing a ski mask was peeking in the windows; the neighbor had stopped to say hi if anyone was home.

At 5:43 p.m., a person had convulsions.

At 8:36 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol reported a red Dodge truck was driving inconsistently. A deputy didn’t find the vehicle.

At 9:16 p.m., a driver hit a moose on Highway 191 and the vehicle rolled.

Dec. 13

At 8:42 a.m., a deputy answered a nervous citizen’s questions.

At 1:43 p.m., a former coworker was threatening a family.

At 3:02 p.m., a woman received an email that is being investigated.

At 4:41 p.m., a skier said someone shot three times and this wasn’t the first time. The case was forwarded to the Sublette County Attorney’s Office.

At 4:49 p.m., a white utility van was speeding and tailgating near Bondurant.

At 5:12 p.m., a deputy checked on a family dispute.

At 7:33 p.m., a deputy served an arrest warrant.

At 8:46 p.m., a white forestry truck hit and injured a deer and left it on the road with its skull cracked open.

At 9:55 p.m., WHP asked if a deputy could move a dead deer from the road.

At 11:13 p.m., a suicidal person was taken to Jackson under Title 25.

Dec. 14

At 7:18 a.m., a deputy helped a motorist.

At 7:31 a.m., the skier who was shot at asked for an update.

At 7:48 a.m., a person had an allergic reaction to psyllium seeds.

At 9:38 a.m., a businessman reported a fraud after a scammer asked an employee to run credit cards to make sure their machine worked properly.

At 9:53 a.m., a caller asked what to do with the Title 25 person’s belongings.

At 12:55 p.m., a woman said investment checks were cashed but not by the company; they were held for 10 days due to the amounts.

At 1:26 p.m., the SCSO drone was deployed for training.

At 3:10 p.m., a caller reported a scam call about a computer purchase.

At 4:27 p.m., a person had a difficult time breathing.

At 6:58 p.m., a landlord said tenants who owe back rent were packing up and hiding in a corner; it is a civil issue.

At 9:01 p.m., a REDDI caller said an intoxicated person was driving an older white Chevy truck; a deputy didn’t find it.

Dec. 15

At 8:59 a.m., the Pinedale school resource officer looked into a juvenile problem.

At 9:13 a.m., someone ran into a ranch’s fence and drove away.

At 11:53 a.m., the Pinedale school resource officer requested information about a juvenile problem.

At 1:20 p.m., citizens disputed a possible theft.

At 2 p.m., a parent asked to speak to the school resource officer about an incident at school.

At 5:34 p.m., a man was arrested on a warrant.

At 5:54 p.m., a vehicle hit a deer on Highway 189.

At 8:03 p.m., a dark-colored SUV speeded down a road and almost hit a dog.

At 8:24 p.m., a family dispute was reported.

Dec. 16

At 2:10 a.m., a suspicious young girl came to a man’s house and asked for a ride. The girl was an adult and nothing criminal was happening so he gave her a ride.

At 9:26 a.m., two dogs were running loose.

At 9:28 a.m., a woman asked a deputy for a civil standby.

At 9:31 a.m., a woman was worried about an injured antelope.

At 12:57 p.m., a person had very low blood pressure.

At 2:57 p.m., a man found a stray German shepherd.

At 5:16 p.m., a person might be having a heart attack.

At 5:27 p.m., great Pyrenees dogs were stopping traffic by a school.

At 5:28 p.m., a man said someone is threatening his family.

At 6:42 p.m., someone hit and injured a deer that was still on the highway.

At 8:56 p.m., a driver who hit and injured a moose kept on driving.

Dec. 17

At 12:48 p.m., a citizen found a stray white dog.

At 3:24 p.m., a woman asked a deputy for a civil standby.

At 4:07 p.m., a red Toyota 4Runner hit a black Toyota pickup.
