WYOMING – The Wind River Skate Club competed at the Cody Spring Classic/Cowboy State Games in Cody last weekend. The figure skating group’s nine skaters tallied the most points, bringing home an impressive 37-medal haul, to win the overall team championship.
Wind River Skate Club earned 18 gold medals, 12 silver medals and seven bronze medals.
Margaret Rife brought home five first-place medals and a silver medal. Cadin Windbigler earned four gold medals to go with one second-place and two third-place finishes. Isley Banik earned two golds and a bronze. Josie Harmon also earned two gold medals and three silver medals. Kandis Johnston joined her teammates with two gold medals, two silvers and a bronze, while Ruthee Wilson rounded out the group’s two-gold crew with a silver, bronze and a fourth-place finish. Callie Windbigler earned one gold, a silver and two bronze medals.
Trystin Fugle earned three silver medals and Aspen Banik came home with two fourth-place and one fifth-place finish.
Margaret Rife and Cadin Windbigler also passed the official United States Figure Skating tests.
