On July 21, 2021, heaven opened its door to a true cowboy. Willard Robert Binning Sr., age 74, of Cora, Wyo., was called home.
Willard is preceded in death by his parents, mother Josephine Harriet Binning and father Burleigh Dean Binning. Willard is survived by his loving wife Donna Binning, his children Willard Robert Binning Jr., daughter Chrissie Binning Zumpfe (Jesse), grandchildren Ted McDaniel, Willow Lucero, Christina Rose Duchon, and other extended family and many loving friends.
Willard was a jack of all trades. He worked at several occupations over the years for various people. He was an excellent heavy-equipment operator and used his skills to help others many times. He spent some time building homes and ran the family homestead ranch for many years. He had quite the sense of humor and would always make things fun and eventful when given the opportunity. Willard was a kind and generous man who would help anyone. He always seemed to know when you were in need and showed up to help out as he could. He loved to work with wood and spent many hours in his woodshop making beautiful pieces for others. He was never afraid to work or help others and had a most infectious twinkle in his yes and was a good tease.
Willard enjoyed hunting and exploring the beautiful mountains of our great state and had many adventures on the back of a horse and a four-wheeler later in life. Willard was always busy building and mechanizing to keep things going and running efficiently. He will be greatly missed by all of us. A celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date.
