PINEDALE – The Pinedale Town Council passed a unanimous resolution to purchase the former headquarters of Ultra Energy at 205 S. Entertainment Lane during a special meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Councilmembers met in executive session to discuss the real estate transaction on Monday, Nov. 7, before hosting an open meeting to pass the resolution on Tuesday.
Entertainment Lane Partners, LLC, accepted the town's offer for the purchase of the building on Thursday, Nov. 10, Mayor Matt Murdock confirmed.
The town plans to fulfill its “due diligence” by carrying out a thorough inspection of the building and an appraisal of the property, Murdock added.
The town intends to use the space as an interim location for the town hall and office space for town staff, Murdock added. The building may become a permanent town hall, although no decision has been made at this time.
The town hall and department offices currently share space in the building where public works and animal control are located.
The town is in discussion with federal and local agencies to lease out additional space in the former Ultra building, Murdock stated.
The council intends to amend its 2023 fiscal year budget to pay for the purchase when the real estate contract is finalized and both parties agree on a price, said Murdock.
