The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 203 calls from Sept. 12 through Sept. 18, including two deaths, two gunshot injuries, two suicidal people, 13 citizen assists, 11 livestock problems, 13 suspicious incidents, eight animal problems, five search-and-rescues, 10 traffic complaints, a domestic dispute, a theft, four medical emergencies, 31 urinalyses and 22 vehicle identification number inspections.

Sheriff's report Sept. 12 through Sept. 18

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 203 calls from Sept. 12 through Sept. 18, including two deaths, two gunshot injuries, two suicidal people, 13 citizen assists, 11 livestock problems, 13 suspicious incidents, eight animal problems, five search-and-rescues, 10 traffic complaints, a domestic dispute, a theft, four medical emergencies, 31 urinalyses and 22 vehicle identification number inspections.

Sept. 12

At 12:02 a.m., a deputy helped a person who had fallen.

At 6:43 a.m., a woman called about a fight at a football game.

At 7:12 a.m., a suspicious 911 call was accidental.

At 7:16 a.m., the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office asked for helicopter assistance

after trying to check on a hunter who sent an SOS alert.

At 7:38 a.m., a white sedan passing a schoolbus almost caused a head-on crash, then cut in front of the bus and made a rude gesture at the driver.

At 8:05 a.m., a person died by suicide.

At 9:28 a.m., a scam caller told a woman he was her grandson and being pulled over by the cops.

At 3:13 p.m., someone hit a black Subaru in a school parking lot and left.

At 3:20 p.m., a very dark blue Jeep was all over the road.

At 3:31 p.m., a person received threats.

At 6:05 p.m., a woman reported harassment.

At 6:22 p.m., a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper asked a deputy to help with a drug-related citation.

At 8:30 p.m., an electrical transformer blew up.

At 8:45 p.m., a person was down.

At 10:17 p.m., an injured deer was in the road.

At 10:59 p.m., a death was reported.

Sept. 13

At 2:06 a.m., a medical emergency was reported.

At 5:11 a.m., a 911 call appeared to be accidental.

At 7:59 a.m., a man left to go hiking to different lakes Sunday and was late. Tip Top Search and Rescue canceled after his wife heard from him.

At 8:08 a.m., a man contacted animal control about badgers in his pasture.

At 8:20 a.m., a suspicious 911 call appeared to be accidental.

At 9:08 a.m., a person had convulsions.

At 11:03 a.m., a 911 call came in with no sounds.

At 12:02 p.m., fraud was reported.

At 12:11 p.m., an Airbnb owner’s guests said cows were walking on her septic system and she didn’t want to ask them to move the cows.

At 12:12 p.m., a man reported people cutting trees near his property.

At 2:54 p.m., a woman spotted a truck with an Arizona plate in back and a Wyoming plate up front.

At 3:02 p.m., the Cheyenne Police Department asked about a damaged vehicle suspected in a hit-and-run.

At 4:40 p.m., Department of Family Services called about a home visit.

At 5:49 p.m., a campground host had pictures of three males in an older blue Ford truck without tags that speeded through.

At 7:01 p.m., a dead golden eagle was on the roadside.

At 8:45 p.m., cows were next to the highway near Hoback Canyon.

At 10:32 p.m., a person reported injuries.

Sept. 14

At 3:48 a.m., a traffic stop turned into a DUI arrest.

At 5:35 a.m., a neighbor dog started barking around 4 a.m. every day.

At 7:20 a.m., a parent wanted to retrieve an impounded vehicle.

At 7:59 a.m., a dump truck’s back gate was spilling gravel.

At 10:10 a.m., a suspicious 911 call was an open line.

At 10:14 a.m., a suspicious 911 call sounded accidental.

At 11:04 a.m., a suspicious woman was hanging out near a preschool.

At 12:49 p.m., a white Honda Pilot passed too close to motorcyclists.

At 2:04 p.m., a collision was investigated.

At 4:01 p.m., a deputy checked on someone’s welfare.

At 5:13 p.m., a woman reported fraud.

At 5:28 p.m., a woman needed to get her car keys back after the person cleaning it was arrested.

At 6:19 p.m., a medical emergency was reported.

At 11:12 p.m., a girlfriend’s gun went off and hit the caller in the thigh. The call was transferred to Lincoln County.

Sept. 15

At 1:26 a.m., a traffic stop turned into a DUI arrest.

At 3:31 a.m., 30 cows were in the highway, one possibly hit by a vehicle.

At 4:12 a.m., a Seattle Fish box truck driver reported hitting a cow.

At 4:38 a.m., a person was suicidal.

At 6:23 a.m., an illness was reported.

At 7:25 a.m., a dozen cows went through a yard and onto the highway.

At 8:04 a.m., a hunter was injured above Dell Creek; the Tip Top leased helicopter crew evacuated him.

At 8:40 a.m., a person was in a diabetic shock or coma.

At 8:56 a.m., a man needed help changing a flat tire at Big Sandy campground.

At 9:08 a.m., a detective ran a man’s name through the instant background check.

At 9:22 a.m., a detective also checked out a woman’s name.

At 10:39 a.m., a dead body was reported.

At 11:24 a.m., a woman having a seizure drove off the road.

At 12:39 p.m., a juvenile problem was reported.

At 2:43 p.m., a woman found debit and credit cards.

At 2:51 p.m., a man reported fraud.

At 6:03 p.m., a medical emergency was reported.

At 6:34 p.m., a vehicle hit a power box.

At 7:47 p.m., a red Chevy Silverado went about 85 mph into Pinedale.

At 8:10 p.m., a medical emergency was reported.

At 10:08 p.m., a woman picked up a stray dog.

At 10:51 p.m., a hotel guest said someone stole his winter coat while he was doing laundry. He later found the coat.

Sept. 16

At 2 a.m., a stray yellow lab was in a shop yard.

At 7:59 a.m., a silver Ford F150 almost caused two head-on collisions while passing.

At 9:08 a.m., the driver of a red Honda Civic parked on private property to remove backstraps from a just-killed deer.

At 9:12 a.m., DFS staff asked for a deputy’s assistance during a home visit.

At 9:33 a.m., a man going into hunting camp found two stray dogs.

At 11:39 a.m., a girlfriend was worried about her boyfriend after not hearing from since he shot the buck deer 24 hours earlier. Tip Top began a search; the woman heard from the hunter and all was well.

At 11:54 a.m., a man had information about an investigation.

At 12 p.m., a juvenile-related tobacco problem was reported.

At 12:13 p.m., a school employee reported two students had an accident.

At 12:24 p.m., two sheep were in the highway near the Sweetwater County line.

At 5:17 p.m., a deputy asked for a bond violation warrant for someone who left the county.

At 5:38 p.m., a suspicious 911 call appeared to be accidental.

At 7:29 p.m., a man who encountered a bat asked to have it tested for rabies.

Sept. 17

At 12 a.m., a man found a stray shepherd-type dog.

At 2:13 a.m., a DUI arrest was reported.

At 2:36 a.m., a person was suicidal.

At 6:06 a.m., Hot Springs County asked for Tip Top’s help picking up two search-and-rescue members dropped on the wrong ridge the night before.

At 7:25 a.m., a fire alarm went off when a guest burned the toast.

At 8:43 a.m., a man about an hour away said he would turn himself in when he arrived.

At 10:01 a.m., a woman asked a deputy to stand by.

At 11:05 a.m., someone went off County Road 103, hitting the sign and a big boulder.

At 12:14 p.m., an Idaho bail bondsman wanted to talk to a deputy.

At 12:57 p.m., a man and woman inside a bank were screaming and yelling at each other. The cleaning crew had a verbal argument.

At 2:55 p.m., a man said a grey flatbed truck went off a cliff. A deputy found the driver and had the truck towed.

At 3:18 p.m., a suspicious incident is being investigated.

At 5:17 p.m., a woman asked if she could park her RV in a school parking lot.

At 5:58 p.m., a domestic dispute was reported.

At 7 p.m., a caller said the driver of a dark blue Impala should not be behind the wheel.

At 7:23 p.m., a man who reported a suspicious incident earlier called back.

At 8:09 p.m., a vehicle tipped and trapped the driver, who was arrested for DUI.

At 9:11 p.m., a man called about poachers in the area.

At 9:14 p.m., an aggravated emailer reported loud music.

Sept. 18

At 8:19 a.m., a front door was unsecured.

At 9:44 a.m., traumatic injuries were reported.

At 9:57 a.m., the SCSO escorted a funeral procession to the Pinedale Cemetery.

At 10:14 a.m., an employee was attacked earlier that morning outside a convenience store.

At 10:42 a.m., a person feeding horses heard shouting, possibly for help. A person was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

At 12:34 p.m., a Wyoming Game and Fish dispatcher passed on a report of two hunters shooting antelope from a Ranger and field-dressing it.

At 1:11 p.m., an illness was reported.

At 3:36 p.m., a report of smoke near the Hoback Rim was transferred to the Forest Service.

At 5:37 p.m., people were trespassing by way of the New Fork River through private property.

At 7:37 p.m., a controlled substance problem was reported.

At 8:28 p.m., a man thrown from a horse the day before might have broken a rib; Tip Top’s helicopter crew rescued the hunter.

At 8:41 a.m., an injured deer fawn was not doing very well.

At 9:06 p.m., a man stopped and put his hazard lights on so no one would hit a bull in the middle of the highway.

At 9:31 p.m., the man said a van hit the bull and it needed to be put down. He said he had tried to get the bull off the road but it wouldn’t move.
