After 83 wonderful years our dad passed away peacefully on Dec. 6, 2020, to be with his daughter, Naomi Pape, his parents Donald and Inez, and his brothers, David and Julien.
He leaves to treasure his memory his wife, Lorraine, and his son, Jeffrey. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Hadley, Madeleine, Michelle, Danielle, Peter and Ben.
Dad was born in Lima, Ohio on Oct. 20, 1937. He attended the University of New Mexico and had a degree in geology/engineering. He worked as a geologist/engineer, traveling throughout the world. He was a petty officer in the Navy from 1955 to 1957. On a tour of Canada, he met Lorraine. On Aug. 17, 1959, he married his love, Lorraine, whom he spirited away from Vancouver, B.C., so they could be together. They have had an amazing life and many adventures.
Dad’s career took him many places all over the world. He and mom lived in 21 different places in the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Greece. Both he and mom loved to travel together, finally settling in Pinedale, Wyo.
Dad had a passion for football, golf and he swam for the swim team for the University of New Mexico. He was a member of the museum board, Sublette Center Board, Pinedale Recreation Board, and participated in the Kickin’ Cancer organization for many years.
Dad was a staunch Denver Broncos’ supporter and a huge John Elway fan. He also loved rocks, and became an accomplished carver in his own right.
Dad will be laid to rest in Pinedale Cemetery with his daughter Naomi Pape. A memorial will be held at a later date in 2021.
In lieu of flowers, donations in dad’s memory may be made to Kickin’ Cancer at www.kickincancer.org.
We love you Dad, and will always miss you.
