SUBLETTE COUNTY – The Sublette County Rural Hospital District has invited members of the public to watch a questions-and-answers format discussion with each of the finalists for the district’s managing partner agreement.
Interviews with Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Star Valley Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital will be conducted for three consecutive days next week. The discussion will be held in person at Big Piney Library with options to stream via Zoom in back-to-back hour-long sessions each night. Pinedale community members wishing to attend can contact Emily Ray at the Sublette County Rural Health Care District because limited space is available.
Stakeholders will ask questions and the public is welcome to listen and learn more about the process.
“As a newly-formed special hospital district board, we are tasked with leading the process to secure a partnership with an established hospital entity who will provide a strong collaborative presence in our healthcare transition moving forward,” Tonia Hoffman, special hospital district chair, said in a statement. “This partnership will be integral to the project we’ve envisioned for Sublette County in terms of both short-term support and long-range success.
“We believe we have three very solid prospects, each of whom would bring valuable experience and foresight to this project. It is paramount that we find the partner who will support and lend guidance where needed, especially in these early stages of construction and establishment, but who will not damper the independent spirit of Sublette County that lends itself to this project and organization. For these reasons, it is imperative to our board that we have input from key community stakeholders to help us make the very best decision.”
Members of EIRMC will answer questions on Tuesday starting at 6 p.m. (meeting ID: 933 4842 8220, passcode: 870843) and members of Star Valley Medical Center will answer questions on Wednesday starting at 5 p.m. (meeting ID: 968 0651 9388, passcode 124408). Interviews conclude with representatives from St. John’s Health on Thursday starting at 5 p.m. (meeting ID: 997 1564 2322, passcode: 358881).
Links to all proposals, as well as direct links to each meeting, are available on the hospital district’s website, www.sublettehospitaldistrict.org.
