Pinedale Middle School students place at State Science Fair

PINEDALE – The University of Wyoming hosted the 2021 State Science Fair virtually on Monday, March 8. Three Pinedale Middle School students placed in two different categories.

Fisher Mills and Reece Woolwine won first place in the animal sciences category for their project, “Oh Deer!”

Mills and Woolwine won the University of Wyoming Geology Museum Award, given to a project that enhances public knowledge and understanding of Wyoming's geology and paleontology. The winners received a 3-D model of a fossil from the museum's collection. Mills and Woolwine also won a West Internship.

Decker Normington took third place in the biomedical and health sciences, biomedical engineering and translational medical sciences category for his project, “Mask O' Wonder.”
