Pedigree Stage Stop announces 2024 sled dog race
WYOMING — Organizers of the Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race announced the 2024 race schedule and entry criteria on July 8. All stages are between 30 and 35 miles in length.
The ceremonial start is slated for Jan. 26, 2024, in Jackson, with Stage One kicking off the following day, Jan. 27, in Teton County.
Stage Two starts in Lander on Jan. 28, followed by the Pinedale Stage Three Stop on Jan. 29.
The sled dog race continues with Stage Four in Big Piney and Marbleton on Jan. 30, before moving to Kemmerer for Stage Five on Jan. 31.
Feb. 1 is a travel day. From Kemmerer, the teams will travel to Alpine for Stage 6.
Stage Seven and the Final Banquet take place on Feb. 3 in Driggs, Idaho.
The 2024 sled dog race is limited to 25 teams. Open entry begins on Sept. 1 and will remain open through Dec. 31. Applications from any qualified musher will be accept for any open spots. If at any time the field becomes filled, additional qualified applicants will be placed on a waiting list in the order their applications were received.

A $1,050 entry fee is required with each application.
The total available purse is set at $165,000.
