Mary Lynn Yose

Mary Lynn was a charismatic and caring woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and was a graduate of East High School. She worked at the Auerbach’s clothing store for several years, where she acquired her great sense of style.
Mary Lynn married the first love of her life, Frank Yose, on Sept. 19, 1958, and began a new life on the Yose cattle ranch in the open frontiers of southwestern Wyoming. After growing up as city girl she built a lifelong love of the Green River Valley and the people who lived there. Mary Lynn and Frank had two children, Lyndon, born in 1959, and Kimberly, born in 1962. They all loved the ranch life. Mary Lynn transformed a sagebrush flat into a beautiful oasis teeming with flowers, and trees that are still visible from the main highway. Mary Lynn lost her beloved Frank in May 1974 following a lengthy illness. She started a job at the Big Piney Bank, where she worked for over 20 years.
Mary Lynn was blessed to find the second love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) Binks. They were together 30 years. Jerry helped her to rediscover joy in life. She was at his side when he passed away in 2008.
Mary Lynn loved her family. They were her pride and joy. She provided unwavering support through life’s ups and downs and was always there as a touchstone. She is survived by her children Lyndon Yose and his wife Roxanne, and Kimberly Cope and her husband Chris; her grandchildren Kristin Benson, Zachary Cope, Brandon Cope and his wife Shaina, and Alexander (Aloosha) Yose; her great-grandchildren Haileigh Benson, Broden Benson, and Max Cope; and finally, by Polka Dot, her cat and loving companion until the very end.
Mary Lynn was loved and admired by many. She had something special that allowed her to connect with many different people. She enjoyed an amazing group of friends who were her second family. We will all miss her friendship, the mischievous sparkle in her eyes, and her fun-loving ways. Memories of her kindness and laughter will always warm our hearts.
A graveside service will be held at Plainview Cemetery, Big Piney, Wyo., at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19. The service will be followed by a reception at the Marbleton Senior Center from noon to 2 p.m.
