LARAMIE – The Pinedale High School Nordic ski team strapped into their skis for the first time this season and began to tally up the kilometers at the Laramie Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10.

Friday’s action featured a 3x3-kilometer relay race followed by a 5-kilometer freestyle race on Saturday.

Pinedale’s team is young this year, with 12 freshmen and three sophomores.

“They are all picking up the technique quickly,” said Head Coach Holly Thayne. “Our top finisher in varsity girls on Saturday – Olivia Tolson – and our top male finisher – Fisher Mills – did a great job.”
