Author Ann Chambers Noble sold and signed copies of the large-format book ‘Homesteading and Ranching in the Upper Green River Valley’ penned by Noble and Jonita Sommers and released late last year. On May 29, the two historians learned their extensively researched and illustrated book won the ‘Silver Medal’ in the 2021 Independent Publisher Book Awards’ History – Oversized category. It was published by Laguna Wilderness Press.
‘We are rather proud of it,’ Noble said. These annual awards go to U.S. and Canadian books to ‘recognize excellence in independent publishing.’ A virtual awards ceremony will take place on June 30 at https://www.ippyawards.com.
The history book is available at local stores, the Museum of the Mountain Man and other Sublette County Historical Society locations.
