SUBLETTE COUNTY – The 2021 Lynn Thomas Memorial Art Show brought together local artists and art lovers who in the past year have missed getting together. Although this year’s show held off on the social reception, quick draw and auction as health precautions, many fairgoers stopped by the Community Hall during the recent Sublette County Fair.

Once again, the Lynn Thomas Memorial Art Show did Sublette County proud, thanks to the participation of 22 local artists, show director Sharon Schell’s dedication and special touches that made each piece stand out.

Visitors also showed enthusiastic support during the show’s display at the venue. There were 130 pieces of art in the show and 20 sales. There were also special awards.

Pinedale High School art teacher Katie Fecklam awarded Bailey Schupp’s pastel painting “Grayling” Best of Show.  Members of the Sublette County Centennial Committee – Janet Montgomery, Mary Lankford and Tim Thompson – presented the Centennial Award to Ruth Rawhouser’s oil painting “Green River, June.”  Sharon Schell’s Director’s Choice went to Bonnie Nelson’s vibrant sunflower painting “It’s a Good Life.” Charmian McLellan received the Artists’ Choice award for her oil painting “Full Circle.

The Mixed Media Artists and David Klarén, owner of Mystery Print Gallery and Frame, sponsored the award prizes. The Sublette County Fair Board and everyone who helped made the show a great success.
