Indoor track team completes regular season

PINEDALE – Pinedale’s indoor track team competed at its final qualifying meet hosted by Natrona County High School on Feb. 20. Two athletes made it through the rigorous and unusual process this year, to make the cut to State – seniors Isabella Romasko and Teagan Bowers.

Romasko picked up two first-place wins in Casper on Saturday, taking first in the girls’ varsity 55-meter dash finals, clocking in at 7.62 seconds. The senior won the triple jump finals, measuring in at 36 feet, five inches.

Bowers also scored double wins at the meet. He placed first in the boys’ varsity high jump at 5-9 and won the triple jump at 42-4 1/2. Bowers and teammates senior Isaac Butterfield, sophomore Noah Sletten and junior Konner Ziegler swept the competition in the boys’ varsity 4x200-meter relay, timing in at 1 minute, 39.23 seconds.

Sletten took first place in the boys’ varsity pole vault, reaching 9-6.

  • Girls’ 55-meter dash: Rhonda Auradou in ninth place at 8.08 seconds, Lauren Kervitsky in 17th at 8.36, Grace Harnack in 27th at 8.65, Ayla Pollard in 37th at 9.08 and Cambry Boyer in 39th at 9.31.
  • Girls’ 200-meter dash: Riley Dauwen in seventh place at 29.42 seconds, Lauren Jones in 15th at 30.67, Kervitsky in 18th at 30.92, Pollard in 30th at 36.01, Boyer in 31st at 36.29 and Harnack in 33rd at 42.13.
  • Girls’ 400-meter dash: Dauwen in fourth place at 1:05.60 and Jones in seventh at 1:07.89.
  • Girls’ 4x200-meter relay: Kervitsky, Boyer, Auradou and Pollard in fourth place at 2:09.05.
  • Girls’ high jump: Auradou in second place at 4-07.
  • Girls’ pole vault: Auradou in fourth place at 7-00.
  • Boys’ 55-meter dash: Butterfield in 11th place at 7.19 seconds, Ziegler in 15th at 7.32 and Connor Crockett in 35th at 8.41.
  • Boys’ 200-meter dash: Bowers in sixth place at 25.22 seconds, Butterfield in seventh at 25.31, Sletten in 11th at 26.02, Ziegler in 16th at 26.52 and Crockett in 35th at 30.67.
