WYOMING – Gov. Mark Gordon announced the removal of certain health order restrictions this afternoon in response to Wyoming’s declining amount of active COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
Beginning Monday, health restrictions placed on barbershops, nail and hair salons, tattoo parlors and other personal care services will be completely eliminated.
Attendance limits on both indoor and outdoor gathers will increase. Indoor gatherings that incorporate social distancing and face coverings will be allowed up to 25 percent of capacity, or 1,000 people. Outdoor gatherings can admit up to 2,000 people with the same provisions.
Counties can still receive variances from statewide protocols if health metrics allow. Four counties in Wyoming have received those variances as of today.
“The efforts made so far have allowed us to maximize attendance safely at larger events like the state high school wrestling championships this weekend and the state high school basketball tournament that was canceled last year,” Gov. Gordon said. “If we continue on our current trajectory, I expect us to be able to continue to remove orders as we safely return to a new normal.”
