SUBLETTE COUNTY – Having doubled in size since its inception three years ago, the Community Bak Pak Program will return for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The local, volunteer-driven effort sent 780 backpacks of shelf-stable, kid-friendly food to those who needed food assistance over the weekend. It’s largely funded by donations from local businesses, companies, organizations and private citizens. It was a recipient of the CARES Act Food grant, which allowed the program to expand its inventory.
Donations can be made to Community Bak Pak Program, PO Box 1127, Pinedale WY, 82941. Those with questions can call 307-749-2522.
