Tomiko “Bonnie” Shields, 82, of Boulder, passed away Aug. 15 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with her husband, Mitch, at her side. Bonnie was born Dec. 31, 1931, in Seoul, South Korea. She met her lifetime love and sweetheart, Mitchell Shields, while he was in the service. They were married Aug. 21, 1958, in Japan. To this union were born two sons, Mitchell Lee Shields and Steven Allen Shields. Bonnie was a full-time homemaker and mom; she enjoyed cooking and was an artist in the kitchen. She dearly loved her family and friends and the children in her life she considered adopted kids and grandkids. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Mitchell; sons, Mitchell and Steven (Angie) Shields; grandchildren, Steven, Faith and Nicholas Shields, Lisa and Anthony Rodriguez and Marie Hernandez and Ashley Pike. She is preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service was held Aug. 20 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pinedale.
