Meat clever descends as sequester becomes law

PINEDALE – On March 1, across the board budget cuts known as the sequester was made law, and the federal government became responsible for finding ways to trim $1.2 trillion in spending. As a result, federal agencies will cut 5 percent from budgets while defense programs will face an 8 percent slice.
