G&F begins chronic wasting disease vaccine study

Elk on the National Elk Refuge and feedgrounds are seen as particularly susceptible to chronic wasting disease due to their large numbers in such close proximity.

PINEDALE – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) began a study last month that will evaluate the effectiveness of a vaccine for chronic wasting disease (CWD). The multi-year study hopes to find a defense against a disease that has become a national concern.
