PINEDALE – With the turn of the new year, Wyoming saw the end of its first official gray wolf hunting season.
The season itself has been a controversial topic amongst environmental groups across the U.S. Three lawsuits are pending, challenging the viability of a wolf hunt in Wyoming and the state’s wolf management plan. The predator zone – which makes up approximately 80 percent of the land in the state – has in particular been a topic of
contention.
