Memorial services for Marjorie “Marge” Homan were conducted Dec. 1 at the Farson Community Hall.
Marge, 95, died Nov. 25 at the Sublette Center in Pinedale. She was the oldest pioneer of Eden Valley, where she was born on Jan. 3, 1917 on the family farm.
She had several jobs and worked as postmaster in Farson. Her interests included visiting family and friends and going into the mountains, where she and her first husband helped run a sawmill.
Survivors include her children, Gary (Juanita) Pennock and Virginia (Don) Skorcz; sister Melva Smith; grandsons, Robert Taylor and wife Joni Pennock, Brian Wade and Kevin Skorcz; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Tegan Pennock and Tiffany, Kaycee and Ashley Skorcz; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Clara Fiscus; husbands Woodrowe Taylor Pennock and Jacob Homan; sisters Veulah and Thelma Stout; brothers Wayne, Vern, George, Sheldon and Lloyd; daughter-in-law Susan Pennock and grandson Rich Pennock.For the complete article see the 12-21-2012 issue.
