Slow opening day

Lift attendants stand ready on the official opening day of White Pine Ski Resort yesterday. Conditions were spring-like, but the weather was pleasant and skiers and boarders alike were eager to get into the snow. More snow is in the forecast, and the lift should be busy when school gets out next week.
