At approximately 4:30 a.m. the morning of July 24, the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) dispatch received a call from a woman living on North Street in Pinedale stating her roommate had a head injury and needed medical attention. Sheriff’s deputies responded and found a 20-year old female with substantial head trauma.
Investigation into the cause of the injury revealed the caller had arrived at her home from a camping trip, and, upon entering her home, she noticed the door was open and there were lights on. Looking around, she noticed there was blood in her home and went to check on her roommate. At that time, she noticed her roommate was lying in bed and had a severe head wound. An ambulance arrived, and the victim was taken to the Sublette County Medical center for treatment.
SCSO investigators are stating, at this time, there are no suspects in this incident. Investigators are looking into two other incidents that have similar facts, but they are not sure they are connected. The SCSO is urging the public to keep an eye open for anything that seems suspicious and out of the ordinary. Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office immediately at 307-367-4378.
Sheriff Wayne “Bardy” Bardin is requesting that residents use caution and secure their premises.
