I attended the open house given by WYDOT concerning the proposed wildlife containment project. After viewing the information there, the proposed fencing, overpasses ... I do not understand why the county cannot just lower the speed limits in those areas of high wildlife traffic to a reasonable rate so motorists have time to slow down when encountering animals on the road. This would not only save the huge expense of this 'containment system' (let alone the headache of all the construction) but would also give revenue to the county by way of ticketing those motorists who just won’t obey the speed limits. This could have been done years ago and saved much of our wildlife.
