When minimum wage is increased, everything is increased to cover the cost of the minimum wage increase. Those who receive the raise take home a larger paycheck that does not go as far as before the raise because everything costs more. The amount of taxes being withheld from the paycheck increases, too. Those who do not receive a raise can afford less because of the increased costs.

How much lower could taxes be if nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations were no longer allowed to receive tax money? When those organizations file for nonprofit, tax-exempt status, they agree to raise their operating expenses from fundraisers and private donations. If a nonprofit is not being supported by these fundraisers and private donations, it is the public saying they do not want that organization.

Commissioners, how much would underage drinking decrease if you did not issue so many conditional use alcohol licenses that make alcoholic beverages available at most all public functions?

Forcing people to have any type of insurance causes people to be less responsible and have the attitude that Its OK, my insurance will pay for it.

Skiing at White Pine was wonderful this season. It was great to ski with old friends and make some new ones.

Congratulations to the Sublette County Emergency Medical Services gaining paramedic level provider status. Being a paramedic was one of my dreams. The closest I came was a basic emergency medical technician. Letting that license lapse was very difficult and disappointing.
