I am writing in support of Michael Kudar for Pinedale Town Council. As an owner of a small business in Pinedale, I appreciate the efforts put forth several years ago by the town council and Main Street to improve our town’s physical appearances. These efforts included beautiful signage and new, more attractive lighting. These additions and changes to our town make it more pleasant to live here, and they also really do help in making our town more attractive to visitors.
The gas boom is now the gas bust. We can no longer be dependent on money generated from the energy extraction south of town. Tourism has always been a part of Pinedale’s economy, and we need to encourage all tourist dollars again. It has been frustrating these last few months to watch some members on the council not support the small businesses in town by trying to reverse the efforts of earlier council members to improve the appearance of our town.
Kudar has owned and operated his own businesses and understands what it takes to sustain a small business. He understands the importance of tourism and making our town a pleasure for us to live in and a place for outsiders to visit and spend their money.
