• Last week during Big Piney's Homecoming Week, the Punchers' football team thrashed Kemmerer, 54-0, with touchdowns from juniors Tristan Barney, Chancy Hunt, three from Jake Pape, Noel Aguirre, Adam Willoughby and Isaac Delgado. Junior Tristan Barney was the winning quarterback. Tonight the Punchers travel to Pinedale for the Wranglers' homecoming game at 7 p.m.

Storm cuts state golf tourney short

POWELL, A storm system resulted in only one day of play at last weekend's 3A State Golf Tournament in Powell, leaving athletes with only their first day of scores on Friday due to the course being unplayable on Saturday.

BIG PINEY , The Sublette girls swimming and diving team hosted Kemmerer for duals at Big Piney's pool as part of Piney's Homecoming and Senior Night on Sept. 22.
This weekend, it's Pinedale's turn to play host at the Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC) for its own Homecoming meet.

Pinedale Half-Marathon

PINEDALE, Runners and walkers hit the pavement last Saturday morning for the 13th annual Pinedale Half-Marathon and 10K.
By 8:30 a.m., 67 half-marathon participants heard the starting gun and set off on a route that took them up Fremont Lake Road, out toward Fremont Lake Campground and back to Pinedale for a finish at Rendezvous Pointe.
