Girls soccer splits 2 home matches

PINEDALE, The Lady Wrangers lost to Jackson and tied with Cody in high school soccer last week.
Jackson took a 2-0 victory on the Pinedale pitch April 21 while visiting Cody played to a 1-1 deadlock on April 22.

PINEDALE, Although losing soccer games to Jackson and Cody last week, Pinedale boys coach JD Dudrey remains upbeat about his squad's potential.
"We still have many instances and flashes of being a great soccer team," he said. "We just need to put a full 80-minute game together in order to have success."

GREEN RIVER, Alexis Cabrera finished third in the triple jump and sixth in two other events while Nathan Stewart was fifth in the 1,600-meter run to highlight Pinedale High School performances at last Saturday's Green River Invitational Track Meet.
The Lady Wranglers finished 11th of 15 teams and the Pinedale boys were 13th of 14 teams.

Pummelers boast five state champs

CASPER, The Pinedale Pummelers Wrestling Club ended another great wrestling season with a successful showing at the state wrestling finals in Casper last weekend.
Pinedale competed with 18 wrestlers in folkstyle, finishing with five state champions and placing 11 of the 18 on the podium. Pinedale finished fifth in team points out of 48 teams.

Wrangler boys soccer blanks Douglas

GREEN RIVER, The Pinedale High School boys soccer team defeated Douglas, 3-0, to salvage one victory during its six games in the Green River Tournament on April 15-16.
Senior Zach Kristiansen scored two goals and sophomore Vicente Acosta booted one into the net for the Wranglers.
Pinedale opened the tournament with a 0-0 draw against Green River, a 4A school.

GREEN RIVER, Pinedale High School girls soccer coach Jen Adam credited her team with its top performance of the season Saturday, April 16, when the Lady Wranglers beat Torrington, 2-1.
