Lady Punchers start strong, look to improve

BIG PINEY, The Big Piney High School girls' basketball team played a three-game tournament in Lander this past weekend. On Friday, the Lady Punchers went head-to-head against Douglas High School, a 3A conference school. The final score showed Big Piney down 54-23, but head coach Jennie Kozeal said her young women played well throughout the game.

Puncher boys start the season off with two wins

BIG PINEY, This past weekend, the Big Piney High School boys' basketball team traveled to Lander to compete in a tournament on Friday and Saturday for its first games of the season. Last spring, the Punchers finished third at State, and they put a lot of effort into their off season practice to come back to the court with a bang.

Punchers kick off the wrestling season

BIG PINEY, This past weekend, the Big Piney High School wrestling team traveled to Evanston to compete in an invitational against multiple teams. All of the Punchers wrestled at the junior varsity level, and head coach Cole Clifford thought the meet was an excellent way to kick off the season.

PINEDALE, The Sublette County boy's swim team opened the season with multiple state-qualifying times last weekend.
"We got off to a great start this week at the Rawlins Penthathlon," coach Brian Gray wrote in an email. "It was out first meet this year, and it was a great opportunity for the team."
