Nordic skiers race at Olympian course in Utah

PINEDALE, The Pinedale High School Nordic ski team traveled to Midway, Utah, for the Soldier Hollow Super Qualifier on Jan. 29-30.
It was a big weekend with a huge number of skiers, according to Coach Holly Thayne.

Pinedale goes 1-4 in Bridgerland Invite

LYMAN, Pinedale wrestling defeated Kemmerer last Thursday, and then went 1-4 at the Bridgerland Invite in Lyman on Saturday, Jan. 30.
"The Wranglers did a great job on Thursday night, beating Kemmerer, 42-36," coach Kendall Horrocks said.
The following day the team looked alert and did well against Evanston's JV team, beating them, 48-36, according to Horrocks.

PINEDALE, The Pinedale High School girls basketball team is ranked the No. 5 team in the state and the Lady Broncs of Jackson saw why firsthand last Friday night.
Jackson girls basketball could only add to their season's misery in Friday's match-up, having won only one game in the last 10, and the Lady Wranglers were happy to capitalize.

Alpine skiing takes top three

LARAMIE, The Pinedale High School alpine ski team competed against five other teams in Laramie, racing slalom last Friday and giant slalom Saturday.
In combined team points, the boys varsity team finished second overall to Jackson, while the girls varsity team finished third, just three points behind Natrona, with Jackson winning by a large margin.

LANDER, The Pinedale High School wrestling team competed in the Lander Invite last Friday and Saturday, finishing 15th of 22 teams, beating out Wheatland, Cody, Dubois and others.
Pinedale entered five wrestlers in the varsity tournament, including sophomore Steven Metz, senior Marcus Cantu, and juniors Chantz Albrecht, Kody Criddle and Conor Sullivan.

PINEDALE, The Sublette boys swim team hosted its first home triangular meet Friday at the Pinedale Aquatic Center, competing against Green River and Rock Springs, both 4A teams. Then Saturday, the team loaded up for a meet in Green River.
