Cody Jack Heseltine passed away on Feb. 14. He was 18 years young. Cody was born in Elko, Nev. on Jan. 25, 1995. He attended Spring Creek Elementary, Spring Creek Middle School and Spring Creek High School for his freshman year.
Cody was very passionate about his friends, his family, outdoor activities and, most of all, his pickup. He considered that old ’94 GMC to be a member of his family.
At age 13, he decided that he wanted to live with his dad, Scott Heseltine. At 15 he moved to Wyoming to be with his two sisters, mom and step-dad. He loved living in Wyoming. Snow machines, dirt bikes, snowboarding, fishing, camping, ranch activities, hunting and the never-ending job of keeping his pickup running (it had a faulty engine) were his passions. He loved living on the ranch and having his step-grandparents next door.
In addition to his dad, Cody is survived by his mom and step-dad, Liz and Eddie Wardell; sisters, Brittany and Katie Heseltine; half-brother, Travis Heseltine and Mary Ann Weldon “Tia;” grandfather, Ed Coleman; grandparents, Martin and Jane Wardell; aunts and uncles, Patricia and Sidney Webb, Bruce and Peggy Heseltine, John and Billie Heseltine; and numerous cousins and step family.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents John and Irene Heseltine and Fran Coleman.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah or the Southwest Sublette County Pioneers Senior Center in Marbleton would be greatly appreciated. For the complete article see the 03-01-2013 issue.
