M.F. “Red” Marocki, 87, of Green River, passed away at his home on Feb. 23. A longtime resident of Green River and former resident of Pinedale and Rock Springs, Mr. Marocki passed away following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Marocki was born on Sept. 9, 1925 in Kemmerer, the son of Frank Marocki and Katherine Young.
He attended school in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1943.
Mr. Marocki married Katherine Jelaco in Rock Springs on March 6, 1948.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Marocki was self-employed as a mechanic and in construction for many years.
His interests included spending time with his family and friends and fishing. He was especially proud of his grandson and buddy, Nicholas.
Survivors include his wife Katherine Marocki, of Green River; daughter Lori Hastert of Green River; sister Judy Borino of Kemmerer; grandson Nicholas Hastert and two step-grandchildren, Matt Hastert and Mary Hastert
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim Marocki, sisters Donetta Paravicini, Jean Douglas and Gilda Canestrin and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.
