Susan Meyer

Susan Elizabeth Meyer, 78, of Green River, passed away on June 5 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs Wyoming. A resident of Green River since 2008 and former resident of Pinedale for 31 years, Susan passed away following a lengthy illness.

Susan was born on April 5, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisc., the daughter of the late Donald Sherman and Greta Larson.

She attended school in Milwaukee and graduated from Shorewood High School with the Class of 1952. She also attended Wells College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1956.

Susan married Donald E. Meyer on June 22, 1957, and he preceded her in death in Pinedale on Feb. 9, 1991.

She worked as an office assistant for an optometrist until her retirement.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of Altar Guild in the Episcopal Church.

Her interests included reading and knitting.

Survivors include two sons, John Meyer and wife Katherine Nelson of Cedar Creek, Texas and Bill Meyer and wife Lisa Edwards of Ventura, Calif.; daughter Karey Skorcz and husband Bob of Rock Springs; two brothers, Richard Sherman and wife Myrna of Perrysburg, Ohio and Jeffrey Sherman and wife Eunice of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Nicole Meyer, Samantha Meyer, Michael Skorcz, Peter Skorcz and Alexander Skorcz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
