Wolverine proposed to be listed as endangered species

Wolverines, known for their stocky, well-built frames and thick pelts, range throughout the northern Rocky Mountains.

PINEDALE – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) announced on Feb. 1 its proposal to list the wolverine as “threatened” under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The listing would encompass wolverines across the lower 48 states.
