On Tuesday, kids showed off their athletic prowess at Hershey's Track and Field, a nationally recognized event put on by the Pinedale Aquatic Center. Athletes ages 5-14 had the chance to run, jump and throw at the Pinedale High School track. This young boy competed in the standing long jump as onlookers admired his technique. ...more

PINEDALE, The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) issued an updated proposed rule governing hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, on federal and Indian lands on May 16. The rule is open to public comment for 30 days from the release date, and so far, it has drawn negative responses from Wyoming politicians, energy officials and environmentalists alike. ...more

The Fracturing Responsibility and Awareness of Chemicals (FRAC) Act was introduced in both the U.S. House and Senate last week. PINEDALE, The Pinedale Town Council met in a stuffy room with a larger than normal audience for Monday's regular meeting. One of the first truly warm days of the year, pre-meeting chatter was a debate over opening windows or being able to hear the discussion. Discussion won out and the windows stayed closed, the meeting proceeded quickly through regular business. ...more

MARBLETON, The people of Marbleton took to the polls on Tuesday to vote for two town council seats and town mayor, and after the canvassing board reviewed the ballots on Wednesday, it was announced council member incumbents Nick Taylor and Mack Bradley, as well as Mayor Jim Robinson, retained their seats. ...more
