The Pinedale High School Wranglers boys’ basketball team fought hard on its home hardwood during the Pinedale Winter Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 6-7. Pinedale’s Lady Wranglers' basketball team traveled to compete in the 3A Girls Winter Classic in Rawlins, where they beat out Worland, 51-38, and Thermopolis, 63-31.

Wranglers, Lady Wranglers dominate at Winter classics

PINEDALE — The Pinedale High School Wranglers boys’ basketball team fought hard on its home hardwood during the Pinedale Winter Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 6-7. The Wranglers beat Buffalo, 58-44, before falling in a tough, last-second loss to Worland, 59-62. The Wranglers rebounded to dominate Thermopolis in a 61-43 victory, ending the weekend of competition on their own terms.

Marking week 6 of prep boys’ basketball season, the Wranglers take on Lyman tonight, Thursday, at a conference away game beginning at 7:30 p.m. They play away again tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 12, in an interclass competition, going up against 4A Jackson Hole High School.

Lady Wranglers

Pinedale’s Lady Wranglers' basketball team traveled to compete in the 3A Girls Winter Classic in Rawlins, where they beat out Worland, 51-38, and Thermopolis, 63-31.The team’s lone loss was to Buffalo, in a closely contested game that ended 51-50 in Buffalo’s favor.

The Lady Wranglers will hit the hardwood at Lyman tonight before traveling to Jackson for games on Friday, Jan. 12.
