Six Sublette County volleyball players earn All-Conference

Posted

PINEDALE – The 2023 fall volleyball season came to a close with the State Tournament in early November. The Wyoming Coaches Association released its annual postseason awards the following week.

Six talented athletes from Sublette County received 2023 All-Conference volleyball honors.

Four athletes on the Big Piney High School Lady Punchers’ varsity squad earned 2A All-Conference accolades – sophomores Lizzy Brandt, Kodee Greene and Kaity Shreve and junior Micah Strong.

Brandt excelled as libero for Big Piney, covering the backcourt for the Lady Punchers with deep digs while deflecting hits from opponents. Greene and Strong both played crucial and versatile roles across the court for Big Piney – switching seamlessly from the Lady Puncher offense as hitters to the Big Piney defense as blockers. Shreve stepped into the role as the Lady Punchers’ determined setter, contributing to wins with countless assists over the season.

Two Pinedale High School Lady Wranglers captured 3A All-Conference honors – senior Reagan Davis and junior Gabby Rogers.

Davis also earned 2023 All-State honors. She made a significant contribution to the team as a setter, surpassing a milestone of 1,500 high-school career assists early in September.

Rogers set the bar high as a tenacious libero for the Lady Wranglers, defending the backcourt by diverting hits from opponents and turning them into opportunities for the Pinedale offense.
